While my father-in-law is recovering from bilateral knee replacement surgery, my wife and I are baby-sitting their dog, Suzy.
Suzy is a
Pomeranian. Although she looks like a puppy, she's full-grown.
She's
groomed in such a way that she looks like a minature lion in that her body is clipped very short while her mane is left full. When she's sleeping she can easily be confused
for a stuffed animal. There's absolutely no denying her cuteness. Her
intelligence, however, is
in question. She knows her name, but ignores you when you call her. My wife says her 'come here' is broken (literally
verbalized as, "c'mere is broke"). Actually when you call her, she just spins in circles---like there's a short circuit
somewhere. She's house-broken, but when you let her outside, she

takes for
ever to decide to do her business. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to have any issues with our other
dogs. Actually, she ignores them. Come to think of it, Suzy's behavior wouldn't be suspect at all if she was a
cat.
